Introducing The Parenting Project!
Dear subscribers,
Itās been a little while. I want to share what we have been up to.
I've spent the last 3 years building and re-forming Monumental Me. Along with my partner Michele Mavi, we have worked to bring useful knowledge and evidence-based tools to as many people as we can to help hard-working individuals thrive in life and work. We have tested a variety of ways to bring tools and insights to many.
What a pleasure itās been to work on projects that forward my long-term passion and professional work of helping to increase gender equity in the workplace, including the retention of women in the workforce, and expanding my favorite initiative of exploring and revealing the secrets of success of inspiring people on my podcast The Mindshare Podcast. We have learned so much about what drives changemakers, about real tools to enhance well-being and personal success, and about the latest in the worlds of technology and healthcare as it affects women and society, to equip us all with the knowledge we need to create our own opinions and impact in this world.
Now itās time to tackle my favorite topicā¦ parenting.
This is a topic in which we have lived experience, and of course, we have tapped into amazing experts to highlight tools to help people thrive in parenting, and for those invested in childrenās development and well-being.
We have partnered with Darri Stephens to create Constructing Confidence, a suite of tools to help kids thrive. Darri is a learning designer with over 25 years of experience in education and media. We met when we both worked for Common Sense, the organization that reviews and provides ratings and educational tools to manage media and technology for kids. She is a highly in-demand consultant on education strategy, development, production, and marketing with leading EdTech companies across the globe. She has created award-winning educational programs and I'm thrilled we have created a new program together!
Drum rollā¦ Our very first tool is The Positivity Toolkit, hot off the press TODAY!
The Positivity Toolkit is a transformative program designed to boost confidence and resilience in parents and kids. Ā Helping our kids in these areas of development is one of the best things we can do for them, together. One of the most important building blocks to reach this goal is embracing positivity! So, we dug into the research of positive psychologists and researchers and built our first program as a co-learning experience. The program is based on science and the evidence-based research of Dr. Lyubomirsky, who defined the 12 behaviors proven to boost positivity. We built a program filled with exercises and discussion starters for parents, and educators, and kids, that will help them to build some key attributes for success in life.
Please visit our website for more details and to see some of the wonderful feedback we have received from our panel of testers: parents, educators, psychologists, and kids themselves!
We would love your feedback and suggestions. And please, spread the word! The program is available in digital form as a supported program and in print! Yup, we have published a real book. Find out more HERE.
